The thing that I liked most about blogging is that I have my own web page that only I and everyone else in Mr. Tubb's aternoon and morning claases can see. When I type things in my blog, I feel good because I know that no strangers can see
what I write. The one thing that I dont like about blogs is that I I don't have a lot of freedom that I can write. I think that next year, you should let the 6th graders next year do their own kind of entrie. What I mean is that one day every quarter you should let the kids do an entrie without you telling them what to write. I think that blogging did help me with the way I write. I think this because some of our entries had to do with six trait writing and I think that is going to help me with my writing. I think that next year, once you introduce your new students to blogs, that you should take a day and show the kids how to customize their blogs and then let them customize them.

Rain Forest summary 2

The Rain Forest is being destroyed, along with everything in it. But, there is also hope for the people of the Rain Forest. First, the rainforest is homes to many Yanomami people until settlers destroyed the forest & the people living in it. Settlers cut down many miles of trees and along with that the Yanomami peoples land was destroyed. Gold was discovered and hundreds of thousands of miners came to mine the gold. Miners brought many diseases like Malaria, Influenza, and a Whooping cough.
Even more damage was inflicted to the rain forest. 10,000 sq. mi. was still destroyed. That is the size of MA! About 20 percent of the rain forest is destroyed. In 1991, Brazil gave 36,000 sq. mi. to the Yanomami people. Even then, there was illegal mining and violent clashes between the miners and Indians. A lot of people are still cutting down too many trees. About 80 percent of logging is still illegal. The loggers are cutting down mohagany trees for coffins, furniture, and guitars. But, the Yanomami people still have hope. The Brazilian government is trying to stop the destruction. Other people are joining with the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) to protect 12 percent of the rain forest.

I am writing about the NFL Draft. He was the best linebacker for the Ohio State Buckeyes last year. I think that A.J. Hawk is going to the Buffalo Bills. This is just a guess for me, but I think that Reggie Bush is going to the Houston Texans. Another reciver that is going to be drafted is Santonio Holmes. I think that he is going to go to the Baltamore Ravens. A second opinion that I have is that Matt Leinart is going to be drafted to the New York Jets.

rain forest summary

There are many ways that outsiders are destroying the Amazon Rainforest. First, the rainforest was homes to many Yanomami people until settlers destroyed the forest & the people living in it. Settlers cut down many acres of trees. Also, the Yanomami peoples land was destroyed. Gold was also discovered. Hundreds of thousands of miners came to mine the gold. Miners brought many diseases like Malaria, Influenza, and a Whooping cough.
Even more damage was inflicted to the rain forest. 10,000 sq. mi. was still destroyed. That is the size of MA! About 20% of the rain forest was gone. In 1991, Brazil gave 36,000 sq. mi. to the Yanomami people. Even then, there was illegal mining and violent clashes between the miners and Indians. The people are still cutting down too many trees. Many large sections of trees are being cut down. About 50% of logging is still illegal. The loggers are cutting down mohagany trees for coffins, furniture, and guitars. But, the Yanomami people still have hope. The Brazilian government is trying to stop the destruction. Other people are joining with the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) to protect 12% of the rain forest.

Dear Avi:
Hi, my name is Bob. I am writing this letter to you because I think that your book Crispin the Cross of Lead. I think that your book should win two more medals it is that good.

This was one of the best books I have ever read because it is full of action and I like books with action. The other reason I think this book is so good is because it is full of suspense! I never knew what was going to happen next.

When I first read this book, I was in the fourth grade, I couldnt put it down. I have never felt like that reading a book ever. I have some questions, though.Another book that I liked of yours was the Christmas Rat. I would like to know what inspired you to write this book. Also, did you base your characters off of people in the real world? Well, thank you for your time reading this letter. I hope that you will be able to read this letter and respond to it.

Sincerely,

Bob

How to get from room 201 to Mr. Zollers room

You will need to reach Mr. Zollers room to get to class from Mr. Tubbs room. It will take about two minutes to get to his room.

* First you take a left out of Mr. Tubbs room.
* Then you go up the first flight of stairs, take a U turn, then go up the second flight.
* Walk down the hallway.
* You will take a left at the end of the hallway.
* Go down a long hallway.
* Take a right in about 25-30 steps.
* You will pass the boys bathroom on the right when you go to his room.
* You will know that you are at his room becuse if you look up you will see a window shaped like a pyramid
* Another way you will know that you are at his room is because there is a sign on his door that says Mr. Zoller
* His room number is 312

Thank you letter

3/8/06

Dear Mr. Maher,

Thank you for being the best teacher I ever had. You are the teacher that has been the nicest to me. I had a great time in your class because you were so fun. The 5th grade school year seemed to fly by. Before I knew it, it was the end of the school year and I was at G.E. Park. How you got into what we did made everything fun. I really enjoyed that.
The best memories I will ever have are when we made those bottle rockets and launched them. Another memory that will stay with me forever is when we had the Indian wars. Those were a gigantic amount of fun. The next memory that I have is when you took us outside to play with us. I liked it when you were playing football with us. It seemed like Eric Lethander and I were always catching all the touchdowns. The last memory that I have is after the tests that you gave us; you would take us to the meat market. I remember the first time we went; I realized that I liked their chili.
Again, thanks for all that you did for me in the 5th grade.

Your friend,

Adam Crider

Self Reflection #2

The old shed is wretched and disgusting. There are tools all over the ground and on the counter. Besides a glimpse of light, the shed is very depressing. There is a smell of ancient, damp, wood. You can also hear the rusty hinges of the lockers squeaking. If you could make out anything then you would notice that it looks like it is abandoned.

Self Reflection

My They ate pizzentrie is what I think is the best. My sentence fluency is good in this entrie because it stays on topic. It is also good because it has veried sentence beginings. Use of good word choise is in this to. I dont use boring words like "eat" or "big". Instead, I use "enormous" and "devour". This piece displays good mechanics because I only spelled one word wrong.
The piece that I need to work on is the piece The shed is wretched and nasty. The one thing that I can work on is when I am writing to use more discriptive words. So, the one trait that I need to work on is to have more discriptive words in my prompts from now on.
