Dear Lois Lowry,

My name is Ali and I am in the sixth grade.  I am writing to you about how much I enjoy your books.  You are my favorite author.  I have read several of your books and hope that you will continue to write several other books of different genres.  My favorite books that I have read so far are The Giver and Number the Stars.
I like the book The Giver because it?s setting is a perfect ideal society that would never happen in our world.   I find it interesting how you come up with ideas ands make it as if might occur in life.
Number the Stars is my other favorite book because you took the setting of when the Nazis attacked and instead of telling the story you took in pre perspective of a family that might have gone through hard times like then and made it interesting.
I appreciate your time and consideration.

                                                                                                                                Sincerely,

                                                                                                                                            Alexandria

How to get to Mrs. Brunsman's room from Mr. Tubbs room

How to get to Mrs. Brunsman?s room from Mr. Tubbs?s room.  Do you want to go to her room for fun and help in English and grammar?

*It will take about three minutes to get there.

*First you take a right from Mr. Tubbs room and go up two flights of stairs that are connected.

*Once you get to the top you will pass an Aquafina water machine.

*Then you will go down the hall and pass five class room doors.

*Once you get to the end of the hall you want to make a left.

*Down that hall will be four class room doors the second one on the right will say on it Assistant Principal

*That tell you that you are on the correct route, keep on going strait.

* Then you will want to continue going through the pass.

*At the end of the pass is a door you want to go left and you should pass the boys bathroom on the right.

*After the boys bathroom will be one room on the right.

*Mrs. Brunsman?s room is the first room on the left.

*If you face the room  there will be two rooms that face in and hers is the one on the left.

*You will know you?re there when the sign says next to the door room 310.

*Have fun in Mrs. Brunsman?s room!!!!!!!

Thank You Letter
                                                                                                                                        3/8/2006

    Dear Dominic,

Thank you for taking care of me when I was sick at home and when mom and dad need to work.  When you came home from school the first thing you did was give me a hug.   When I was lonesome you would come in and sit with me and make sure I was at ease.  Things you did for me were:  getting me tea when my throat was aching.  Another time was when I was in terrible pain you would make sure I was o.k.  For those reasons you made my day.  I could not ask for a better brother than you.

                                    Love You,

                                        Ali

Self-Reflection 2

As you pick up the old rust tools lying on the ground.  On your hands you feel as if you just burned your hand on the stove.  As you head toward the door you see old dusty gray paint chiseling away from the locker.  When you went up to the locker the some of the dry paint gets on you and you feel as if ice cream was melting on a hot summer day.  Next to the locker is a desk that is just fallen into pieces and needs a whole lot of repair.  On the desk is sand paper wood that just makes you scream.  Finally, when you reach the door you step on a piece of glass and it shatters and goes all over the room as if there was just a robbery.  As you open the door it squeaks.  When you closed the door you know that you just left a dust, old, and moldy place.

Self- Reflection
The peice that I think was the best was Sensory Detailed- chilled 2.  My peice had varied sentence beginnings, it had descriptive adjectives, verbs, and it starts with ing words and lingers in ytour mind.  the mechanics were no spelling mistakes and the commas were in the correct spot.
Sensory detailed- chilled was the worst of all of the peices that I wrote.  The sentence fluency was to long and the word choise I did not have enough descriptive words.  I had no grammer or spelling mistakes.
In the future I wish to work on making my sentences shorter by having 2 in each entry and  making my sentences with more clarity.  Also, I want to make 2  sentences shorter in each entry, 1 compound sentence per entry and I want to be more specific, measureable, achieveable, reachable, and trackable.
