I got confused when the book started throwing tons of characters in the story simotainiolisly.They would sometimes talk and then they would`n say who was talking.I would try to figure out who was talking for minutes and if i still didnt know i would just keep reading.But, after I started getting far I figured out wwhat did`nt make sense.

The setting is at hotel that Barney northrup is making a improved hotel.The tenants do not that something is going to happen.
