Researching the Book's Setting

This story takes place during World War II, one of the most important events of the 20th Century.  In order to understand the book a little better, it is important to know a few facts about the war.  Below is a link to a website with timelines for each year of the war.  Click on the link and browse the timelines for each year.  Look for answers to these questions:

Now that you know a little about WWII, it's time to learn a little about what was happening in England, the setting of The Lion, the Wich, and the Wardrobe.  During this time, many children were evacuated from certain cities in England considered to be in danger of bombing.  Click on the link below and look for answers to these questions:
