My Thoughts about Blogging

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT BLOGGING

1. What did you like most about blogging?

Personally, I liked doing the stories that we get to make up with other friends.  I also liked how we could read other peoples thoughts and comments because we can see how differently they think and how differently their imagination.

2. What did you like the least about blogging?

Although I did like blogging in some ways, there were too many rules like NO SMILEYS, also we have to write in certain ways instead of typing what w think.

3. Do you feel like your writing improved this year?  Did blogging have an effect on this?

I think my writing did improve this year, some of it was because of blogging, but some was not.  Some of it was from blogging because I learned how to use sensory details, and how to be more specific.  Most of it was because of the HBJ  book though.

Rain Forest Entry #2

Problems are occuring in the Amazon which effects a loss of land.  As shown, the rain forest is being taken away by many activities, but 20 percent is mostly done by humans, such as mining.  In fact, mining is also a great cause.  10,000 miners poured all over the area of the rain forest for the exciting discover of gold.
For a long time, illnesses like malaria, whooping cough, and influenza are since the minors are carrying them back with them.  This affected and even destroyed the villages of the Yanomami people.  Once again, many problems are recently showing up in the Amazon rain forest.
Correspondingly, deforestation is one of the largest effects, for example, 3 percent is from the fires, mining, and roads.  Another 3 percent is also for logging.  The highest percent is from the cattle ranching which is 60 percent.  One percent is commercial agriculture, and last, 33 percent for subsistence culitivation.  Although logging is allowed in some areas, still ,80 percent is illegal.

How To Get From Room 201 to the Water Fountain on the Third Floor

To get to from room 201 the water fountain on the third floor, you will have to walk for about four minutes.  You would probably want to get here to quench your thirst, but first you will have to follow the directions given.

*First walk a step out of room 201 and turn right, walk until you meet a staircase.
*Walk another 25 steps on the staircase to get to the third floor.
*Take another right and walk through a hallway of lockers.
*Youshould pass six doors (two on the right side; three onthe left side; and one straight ahead) before you take another right.
*After you do that, you will take a left which will lead you down another hallway.
*As you keep walking, you will eventually pass the girls restroom.
*Take another left at the end of that hallway, and turn right and again, walk to the end of that hallway.
*Finally,  take another left and walk until you see a water fountain at your left.
*ENJOY!!!
