Reading response for SSR book.
The reason I chose the book Among the Hidden is because so many people recomended it to me. They said that you do not want to stop reading. You just want to see what is going to happen next. I have also read a book by this author. I really like her writing.
The River and Climb or Die
The book The River is like the book Climb or Die because it is very exciting. You just want to see what is going to happen next. In the book Climb or Die, the Darcy family gets stuck in a snowstorm. The kids have to save their parents by climbing Mt. Remington, or dying. In the book The River, Brian is reliving being in the Canadian wilderness. Many different things are happening to him because this time he only has a pocket knife. Both of these books are very exciting.
The River
I started the book The River because it is a sequel to the book (Hatchet) we just read in class. Also, my mom recommended it to me because she knew that we just read Hatchet. My mom had read it too. Another reason why I chose the book, The River, is because I read the back. The back interested me so I read the first chapter. After I read the first chapter, I decided that I liked the book.
