Final Reflection!

My favorite entry that we ever did in blogging is the collective story.  This is because we all got to put our ideas together to make a really funny but messed up story!  I also really enjoyed doing this because it was a lot of fun to read your story at the end after all your friends put their part of the story in!  This is why I liked the collective story the best.

My thought on Blogging!.....

1. The thing that I liked about blogging is that it was something that was different.  I was used to getting really boring work sheets and I think that is really great to do things on blogs.  Also it was cool to have my own webpage on the internet! 
2. The thing that I liked least bout blogging is that it got graded really late.  And even if it was a grade i did not really help me to be a better writer.
3. I do feel that my writing did improve this year because of all the great activities that we did.  I do not think that blogs helped it at all though.  I think that I would have been just as good or better a writer with work sheets.
4. I think that blogs would be more effective if we got to use them more.  Also if you got to get to grading them faster. That is how blogs would be more effective and enjoyable!

    Many concerned people are fighting against the destruction of the Amazon rain forest.  Years ago, the Yahnomami moved to the rainforest and that is when the destruction of the rainforest began.  They started to build roads, cut down trees, and build sawmills.  Many people realized the loss of the rainforest because of the Yahnomami and started to help out.  For example, the Brazilian government set out 36,000 square miles for the Yahomami only.  That was so they had only their designated land to do their own thing on.  The biggest problem though, was 10,00 square miles cut down in 2004 alone.  Since soy farming has become popular, more roads are being built deeper into the forest.  Despite the loss so far, Brazil and other organizations are working together to help and save the rainforest.

    This is Mary Tess, and I was writing to you to tell you how much I enjoy your books!  I have read many of your books and I love them all.  Some books I have even read to my little sister!  I hope to keep reading them ans I hope that you keep writing fabulous books.  You are my all time favorite author, and your books inspire me.    

    The book that I like the best would be Because of Winn Dixie.  I think that you wrote the book so well.  Every time that I read it, I ge a different feeling.  You are so descriptive and give so many great details.  Because I liked this book so much, I was wondering if you would write a series to that.  I think that it would be a big hit!
    
    Well, If is was not to much, I was wondering if you would sign the enclosed copy of Because of Winn Dixie?  If you would that would be great!  Thank you so much for your time and cooperation!

Dear Ms. Bishop,

Thank you so much for helping me with my math.  Without you helping me, I would not feel confident to take the achievement test.  I was very worried about taking this test, but you have worked hard.  To work with you has been great!  You are the best teacher and magnificent at teaching and explaining math.  Learning math that I did not understand was fun with you.  Thankfully, I have you as a math teacher.

    My best piece is I Planted Flowers.  My sentance fluency is is good.  I have strong sentences, compound sentences, and different beginnings.  For my word choice I have words, words that linger in your mind, and words that are descriptive.  My mechanics are perfect in this piece.  I have no spelling or grammar mistakes in this piece.   
    A piece that I need to work an is Chilled Disgust Part 1.  I do need to work on my sentence fluency because not all of my sentences have compound sentances and they do not start with adverbs, verbs, or adjectives.  My word choice is not very good either.  I do not have words that linger in my mind or words that are descriptive.  I only have one spelling error.  I do not have a topic sentence though.
    One trait that I need to work on is sentence fluency.  I will try to begin every paragraph with a strong topic sentence.

Dear Anna,
    

    Can you believe that we finally got together?  Did we have fun or what?  I still can�t believe that it is over.  It is very disappointing that we won�t see each other for another couple of years.
    It was so much fun when we got to go tubing on the Graham�s boat with two other of our boy cousins.  That was fun!  We beat them bad in the jet-ski race, didn�t we? We laughed so much.  I am still laughing today!  It was even more fun when we got to go tubing and uncle Jeff flipped us.  What was your favorite part?
    Well, we had a blast together!  Boy, I can�t wait until next year when we might come down to see you and your family.  Please keep emailing me as soon as you get home from school!  I will try to call you every weekend.  I love you so much.

T.G.I Friday's

    Eating at T.G.I. Friday�s is the most sinful thing in the whole world.  When I go there I am in heaven.  Their milk shakes are so thick and creamy, and they are covered in fluffy whipped cream. To top it off, they put a beaming red, plump cherry on the top. Their hot, salty  fries melt in my mouth. I could eat one thousand of them.  They are so addicting.  With the heavenly fries and shake, I get their fat, juicy cheeseburger.  It is so juicy, the juice flows all over my plate.  I love T.G.I Friday�s!
