I want to read this book because it looks very interesting. When I read the summary about it, it looked good. It was talking about these two girls, and they both have completly different personalities. And then one of them moves, and they become really good pen pals. The authors of this book are, Paula Danzinger and Ann M. Martin. I have read a book similar to this or atleast similar to the discription.

This book is like another book that I've read because there are two girls that both just stand out of the crowd compared to everyone else. The main character in "Stargirl" is named Stargirl, and at first everybody just completly hates her at her new school. And, the main character in "The Great Gilly Hopkins" is Gilly, and she is a foster child who keeps moving foster homes, because none of the families like her. These books are similar because at first nobody likes the main character, but at the end, everybody likes them.

I first thought that Stargirl was really weird, but then I realized that she was just trying to be herself. She would always sing happy birthday on people's birthdays, and wear weird clothes to school. The other kid's (In the book) thought that she was weird to. I first realized she was really just being herself, when she was on a talk show, and she said that she joined their school instead of home schooling because she wanted to make friends. And that sort of drew me into the book even more.
