Dear Mrs. Martin,

   My name is Olivia, and I am writing to you because I read a book you wrote called P.S. Longer Letter Later. I really enjoyed reading this because it was very well written.

   I also enjoyed this book because it is very realistic, and I feel I can relate to it in a few ways. I would also like to thank you for writing P.S. Longer Letter Later. It gave me great pleasure to actually sit down, and read this book.

   I was wondering, what made you want to write this book? Did something related to this book happen to you when you were a child?

   Thanks again for writing P.S. Longer Letter Later! I really loved it!

You did very good on your buisiness letter to he author.
You included most of the contents.
You didn't use a colon after the greeting though.
You described who you were and why you were writing. You use facts and tell the person why you like their book. You have a closing, and you were polite in your letter. I think you did check for spelling and punctuation. Your letter is neat, too!
