The Amulet of Samarkand
I chose this book because I saw on the cover that it was the New York Times bestseller. I also chose it because when I read the first chapter, it was very exciting and well written. When I looked at the back it said it was a Trilogy. I like trilogies because then I get more books to read. So when that book is over, I can find the sequel very fast at a bookstore instead of looking for a book for an hour.

Travel Team
In my book Travel Team I thought that Danny (the main character) would make the travel team. Then he didn't because the call he got said he didn't make it because he was to small. I also thought that they would let him on the team when he realized how good he was. Instead, they didn't and Danny's dad (Richie) made his own travel team with the kids who didn't make the other travel team and they also got a girl on their team too becuase Richie thought she was really good. Richie said that in strictly basketball terms that she was " Danny's dream girl" because Danny was really good at passing and she was really good at recieving passes and shooting.

Describe The Setting
My book, Eldest, takes mostly takes place in Du Weldenvarden, an elveish city. Ther are many beatiful trees and plants there and almost all of them were grown by magic. One tree there is called the Menoa Tree. This tree is acually an elve who transformed herself into a tree using magic. There is a stream there but its only used for bathing. There is a huge forest in Du Weldenvarden. It covers most of Du Weldenvarden making it like a giant forest with some towns scattered through it. Then there is a valley there for Oromis, a dragon rider, and Glaedr, Oromis's dragon.
