Sentence Fluency: Lackadaisical & Monkey
A tribe of monkeys who lived in the forest were called by the NBA. They were asked to play a basketball game with the world champion Spurs. They arrived at the basketball court and while they were warming up. The fans did not like the monkeys at all. The monkeys were screaming and yelling because, well, they were monkeys.
When the game began, the monkeys were way ahead. They were stuffing all the players and stealling the ball every time the Spurs got it. At the end of the first half, the monkeys were up 67-3. So, the Spurs coach had a little chat with the referee. The coach made an offer, if the referee called more fouls on the monkeys, he would grant him $1,000,000. The referee accepted the bribe. When the second half began, the monkeys were getting countless fouls, and the Spurs were coming back fast. At the end of the third quarter, half the monkeys team had fouled out. Lucky for the monkeys, the Spurs greatest player sprained his ankle trying to show of to the crowd against a very lackadaisical monkey team.
The monkeys had a new hope now, and were quickly regaining the lead. The Spurs were shut-down with the loss of their best player and practically gave up. The monkeys finally won the game and took home the Spurs trophy.
