Dear Mr. Sachar,
My name is Lily and I am a sixth grader. I am a fan of your books, but the ones that got my attention, were the Wayside School books. I have read each six times and they still make me crack up!
You should write a lot more Wayside School books. They are so funny! I think you are a talented writer. The reason I like these books so much is because they make me want to keep on reading and never stop. When ever Im reading them and come to a really funny part, I want to tell my whole family and all my friends, so they can laugh with me!
I would just like to ask a few questions. What gave you the idea to write these books? Have you always wanted to be an author? If not, what else did you want to be? Have you ever written any adult books?
Thanks so much for taking time and reading my letter! Hope to here from you!
Sincerely,
Lily
You need to go to the computer lab on the third floor to work on your super-fun powerpoint that Mr. Tubbs' assigned you. You are starting at Mr. tubbs' room and it will take about a minute to walk up there.
Lonely. This is such a lonely place to be. This filthy, smelly room has old, dirty lockers that smell like grimy gym socks in the frigid, dark basement. The lockers feel very cold and fragile. Next to a pile of rubble, is a senile, broken down workshop table. It looks as if someone started beating it with a hammer. All I can hear is a little rat crawling through the rubble, making all of the wood fall. But besides that, there is dead silence. If someone would have dropped a paper clip on the ground it would sound as loud as a person screaming from a distance away.
